A Little Culture's mission is to keep parents and their young children engaged in cultural activities.
We believe that the arts expand thinking, elevate curiosity, and create empathy by providing different ways of seeing and experiencing our world. We seek out unique cultural events and experiences on behalf of our members because families thrive when parents stay engaged with their own interests and children grow with the arts as a natural part of their lives.
Our program is curated around the needs of families. As parents, we are aware of the occasional disconnect between enjoying the quiet halls of a museum and sharing time with an inquisitive 5-year-old. In fact, it is at this point in our lives that those moments are most rewarding. Sharing the arts with your loved ones allows you to experience new ideas together. We facilitate those moments by bringing you a year of opportunities to weave culture into your busy family schedule.
As a switched - on parent, you are aware of all the Bay Area has to offer, but perhaps don’t have the time to plan and schedule these extra fun things with friends and family. Our A Little Culture club is designed by parents, for parents to:
- Take the hassle out of getting the latest don’t-miss cultural event on your calendar
- Give your children the knowledge and language to approach and enjoy the arts with confidence through our courses and monthly culture focus
- Share new experiences with like-minded folks
Our founder, Lucie Charkin, brings your adventure with each art form full circle with the monthly resource list - a collection of articles, videos, podcasts, and even recipes that contextualizes the art form of the month.
Come along with us to re-discover yourself and your interests and introduce your children to culture through fun and thoughtful access to art, music, theatre, film, architecture, and more.
